Paul Frase was born in Elmira, New York. He graduated from Syracuse University in 1988 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology before playing professionally in the National Football League (NFL) for eleven seasons spanning from 1988 to 1998. Paul played with the New York Jets for seven seasons, the Jacksonville Jaguars for the inaugural and second seasons of the franchise, the Green Bay Packers in 1997, and finished his career with the Baltimore Ravens. He went to Super Bowl XXXII with Green Bay during his NFL career. Paul won the peer-voted Ed Block Courage Award unprecedentedly two times in the award’s 41-year history.
Paul co-founded the Joshua Frase Foundation in 1996 to raise awareness and fund research for an orphan disease called Myotubular Myopathy (MTM); his son, Joshua, succumbed to this disease 40 days shy of his sixteenth birthday. Since 1996, Paul has been an advocate, speaker, and research pioneer for MTM.
Beyond his pursuit to find the cure for MTM, he is a motivational speaker, author, and entrepreneur. His mission is to inspire an awakening of the inner strength in leaders and influence them to use the restorative power of hope, love, and faith to impact others positively.
When Paul isn’t traveling the globe, you will find him with his beloved daughter Isabella, reading a book, immersed in history, writing, or simply taking in the beauty of Creation.
